About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and grow the revenue base through upselling, account retention, and improved financial outcomes at renewal
Strategically and proactively manage accounts, balancing client and business needs
Create renewal strategies and rate recommendations based on financial analysis
Manage the pipeline with a 2+ year outlook and drive revenue-growth opportunities
Lead deal strategy using market knowledge in collaboration with cross-functional peers
Create presentations and conduct business reviews explaining product value to existing customers
Act as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams
Coordinate account service and develop partnerships with external stakeholders
Resolve customer concerns and identify opportunities to expand or enhance services and processes
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience in employee benefits and a bachelor’s degree
Advanced business math and analytical skills
Consultative selling and negotiation skills
Ability to influence decision-makers
Strong time management skills and experience managing overlapping projects under tight deadlines
Ability to meet deliverables under pressure
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal business presentations
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Advanced problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration ability
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to travel up to 30%, including overnight travel
Ability to use a personal vehicle and cover related expenses until reimbursed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
Proficiency with CRM software, including Salesforce
Valid driver’s license and successful motor vehicle record check
Automobile liability insurance with limits of $250,000/$500,000
State life and health producer license required within 90 days of hire
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
