About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Attend project meetings as required, coordinating with sales, project management, and clients
- Install, commission, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and modify industrial and automated Delta equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine-control issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and machine documentation
- Provide on-site technical support and communicate solutions to customers
- Assist with machine demonstrations, customer trials, and application testing
- Support new equipment installations throughout North America
- Verify machine operation and safety functions during commissioning
- Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, basic programming, and troubleshooting
- Document service activities, installations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Service, factory teams, Technical Project Managers, and Field Application Engineering to resolve technical and commissioning issues
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment up to 600V
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and modifications to existing equipment
- Provide on-site technical product support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Electrical Engineering Degree, a Technical Degree in Electronics or equivalent
- 4 yrs+ of experience working in a manufacturing environment, data center, or field service role
- Ability to follow prescribed company policies, procedures, and protocols for installation, service, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
- Mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical wiring diagrams
- Working knowledge of electrical wiring, pneumatics, and industrial equipment
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to travel (80%) and work evenings and weekends when needed
- Experience with robotic manufacturer facilities and electrical motors, controls, and drive systems
- Ability to interact politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
- Must follow all safety policies and companywide safety requirements
- Ability to walk long distances across large facilities or job sites
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, or work at heights
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods
- Ability to work in varied environments, including construction sites and outdoor, hot/cold conditions
