About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate business questions by gathering, sourcing, validating, and interpreting data from multiple sources
- Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key drivers affecting business performance
- Turn loosely defined questions into structured analyses, practical recommendations, and potential solutions
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of business initiatives and operational changes
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations
- Translate data and findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support recurring and ad hoc analytical requests across multiple business functions
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify improvement opportunities
- Support strategic initiatives through research, analysis, and solution-oriented recommendations
- Support forecasting, performance monitoring, and business planning activities
- Monitor results and help develop measures supporting organizational objectives
- Improve processes, reporting, data quality, and access to business information
- Contribute to departmental projects and shared team priorities
- Support evaluation and adoption of new tools, analytical capabilities, and process improvements
- Share knowledge and analytical best practices within the team
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to read, source, organize, and interpret data to answer business questions
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong work ethic, initiative, follow-through, and willingness to learn
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing business needs
- Must currently reside within commuting distance of Somerset, New Jersey
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future employer sponsorship
- Preferred: Experience creating reports, dashboards, analyses, or visualizations to support decision-making
- Preferred: Exposure to Excel, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, SQL, databases, forecasting, financial analysis, or similar tools and methods
- Preferred: Experience supporting business, operational, sales, marketing, financial, healthcare, retail, or multi-location initiatives
