About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Negotiate large-scale contracts, payment terms, volumes, and delivery conditions
  • Develop strategic procurement plans aligned with the company’s financial goals
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Negotiate directly with manufacturers of dental supplies, focusing on volume, margins, payment terms, and service levels (OTIF)
  • Develop robust commercial agreements, ensuring the effective capture and management of rebate funds, performance bonuses, and volume target achievement
  • Secure and manage marketing/trade marketing funds from manufacturers for sales team incentive initiatives, sell-out campaigns, and activations across digital and physical channels
  • Collaborate with Category Management to align the product mix and with Planning to ensure effective inventory management, avoiding stockouts and excess tied-up working capital
  • Lead, train, and evaluate the performance of the procurement and purchasing assistant teams
  • Build long-term partnerships with manufacturers without compromising distributor margins
  • Optimize internal procurement processes, from request for quotation through product receipt
  • Ensure compliance with the Supply Chain department’s OPEX/CAPEX budget
  • Define and monitor department KPIs, such as Lead Time, Savings, Price Evolution, and Service Level
  • Move seamlessly between procurement strategy and operations in a dynamic market

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in procurement within Food Retail, Pharmaceutical, or Dental Distribution sectors
  • Strong technical expertise in negotiating complex contracts, including rebates, VPC, co-marketing, and price protection
  • English proficiency
