About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and control various machines and support equipment related to production
- Follow machine start-up and shutdown procedures
- Follow work instructions, product specifications, company policies, and health and safety policies
- Communicate with supervisors
- Maintain workstation organization and cleanliness
- Perform quality control inspection points and evaluate product, production equipment, and test equipment non-conformities
- Clean machines and production areas
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues
- Read work orders and bills of materials
- Complete required paperwork and maintain product traceability
- Perform quality inspections and first-piece inspections
- Use Nikon profile protector
- Visually inspect products for quality standards
- Weigh and record chain produced
- Print product labels and package production according to work instructions
- Complete preventive-maintenance and cleaning check sheets
- Perform extrusion die changeovers, cleaning, adjustment, purging, and troubleshooting
- Set up and calibrate adapterless tip size based on required specification program in Zumbach
- Perform material drying and mixing procedures
- Report scrap and verify measurements using calipers, comparator, scale, and pin gauges
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Machine operation experience in a production environment required
- Dependability and ability to adapt to change
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and weight conversions
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Familiarity with basic measurement methods
- Proficiency with small hand tools
- Ability to cross train in other areas as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Non-allergy to Latex
- Ability to sit for at least 4 hours at a time
- Normal eye/hand motor coordination and ability to grasp and hold small objects
- Normal extended reach and consistent manual dexterity
- Ability to determine color acuity
- Ability to travel via car or plane to designated areas
- Ability to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs
- Eligibility to work in the country where the position is based
