About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform Operator I requirements and operate proficiently across all department lines
- Serve as a training and troubleshooting resource for the department
- Meet production and quality metrics
- Follow work instructions, material preparation, visual aid, inspection, and Bill of Materials procedures
- Follow company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality controls
- Complete travelers, production tickets, daily production reports, process verification sheets, and other documentation
- Perform measurement verification using relevant quality equipment
- Participate in problem-solving and daily continual improvement activities
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Communicate with supervisors and team members
- Cross-train on PW-III, PW-II, and PW-I duties in the PHX department
- Operate and control marking machines; perform startup and shutdown procedures
- Perform equipment maintenance, setup, calibration, inspections, changeovers, cleaning, adjustments, troubleshooting, line clearance, and purging
- Perform extrusion and packaging inspections, scrap reporting, material drying and mixing, and measurement verification with calipers, comparator, scale, and pin gauges
- Support the Unit Lead with cycle counting and schedule compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED OR equivalent work experience at the discretion of the Hiring Manager
- Proficient with using small hand tools
- Ability to work independently and coordinate and communicate with other team members and departments
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and weight conversions
- Able to cross train in other areas as assigned
- Dependability and ability to adapt to change
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Capable of basic computer interactions and data entry
- Non-allergy to Latex
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 4 hours at a time
- Normal eye/hand motor coordination and ability to grasp and hold small objects
- Normal extended reach and manual dexterity
- Ability to determine color acuity
- Ability to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs
- Eligible to work in the country where the position is based
