About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform all duties assigned in the Production Worker I and II job descriptions
Set up all equipment within the department
Install tools on machines as required
Perform tool maintenance on equipment
Adhere to the production schedule
Verify associated paperwork is completed correctly
Set up production equipment in the molding department
Follow company policies and health and safety policies
Communicate with operators, quality assurance, and the shift supervisor
Assist with department activities
Perform cleaning and maintenance activities
Apply knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Operate injection molding machines, including opening and closing clamps to hang molds
Set and plumb molds in injection molding machines
Assemble and disassemble complex tooling
Perform preventive maintenance on molds between production runs
Set molds in presses according to the production schedule
Review mold setups with the unit lead
Log mold hanging, removal, and maintenance activities
Use small hand tools and perform measurement verification with relevant quality equipment in the MIM department
Cross-train on PW-II and PW-I duties in the PHX department
Perform other duties assigned by supervision or management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 2 years machine set up or equivalent experience
Good mechanical aptitude
Ability to complete tasks independently, communicate with employees and use time effectively
Legible handwriting required
Machine setup and operation experience in a production environment preferred
Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to operate powered lift equipment (forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.)
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time
Normal eye/hand motor coordination and ability to grasp and hold small objects
Normal extended reach
Consistent manual dexterity
Ability to determine color acuity
Ability to transport, lift and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
