About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical and application support primarily by phone to system users and technicians
  • Maintain technical knowledge of assigned products to install, operate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
  • Guide customers with installation, operation, troubleshooting, and repair assistance
  • Diagnose hardware, software, operator, and system problems
  • Recommend or perform remedial actions to correct problems
  • Provide updates, status, and completion information to managers, tracking systems, and users
  • Document product issues, concerns, and customer complaints according to procedures and quality standards
  • Serve as a technical resource and cross-functional partner to internal departments
  • Provide instruction and training to customers and dealer personnel
  • Travel for service calls on equipment local dental service technicians could not repair
  • Work on special projects and perform other duties supporting technical service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college and a minimum of two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, Windows Operating Systems, and applications
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting computer networks
  • Experience troubleshooting and servicing electromechanical equipment is a plus
  • Direct customer interaction by phone or in person is a plus
  • Ability to travel 10% to 50%, depending on role
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport for limited international travel
  • Must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based
