About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist experienced technicians with equipment installation, calibration, preventive maintenance and repairs
- Attend customer sites with a supervising technician or manager
- Complete supervised work on core dental treatment-centre equipment
- Participate in structured product, technical, systems and safety training
- Identify faults and escalate work outside current training, competency or licence requirements
- Maintain accurate service, parts and inventory records using Salesforce and PDA systems
- Care for company-supplied tools, parts, equipment and vehicles
- Maintain clean and safe work areas according to quality, infection-control and safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers and respect their premises and equipment
- Report technical issues, safety risks and customer concerns promptly
- Work with experienced technicians, service coordinators and the wider service team
- Maintain a development plan and demonstrate progressive capability under the Field Service Career and Capability Framework
- Progress toward completing preventive maintenance and routine service work with greater independence as capability is assessed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated technical or mechanical aptitude and genuine curiosity about how equipment works
- Strong interest in developing a long-term career in field service
- No previous dental-equipment or field service experience is required
- Willingness to enrol in or commence a recognised electrical qualification within three months of appointment
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Queensland as required
- Commitment to obtaining the licences and certifications required for the role
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety, parts and service records
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work effectively under close supervision
- Clear communication skills and a professional customer manner
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and willingness to complete all assigned training
- Sound computer literacy and ability to learn Salesforce, PDA systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Positive attitude, personal accountability and willingness to seek guidance and act on feedback
- Eligibility to work in Australia
