About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure developed software meets client requirements and business quality standards within project release cycles and established processes
Lead QA technical initiatives to optimize testing approaches and tools
Define scope and objectives for all levels of QA testing
Write test plans, design test cases, develop test SQL scripts, test conditions, test procedures, and expected results
Participate in test planning by identifying testing requirements, scope, and estimates
Ensure optimal test coverage across positive, negative, and exception scenarios
Log defects with appropriate priority, track them to closure, and identify root causes
Perform DWH and database testing
Perform functional, regression, load, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Validate fixes and follow through across all test cycles
Investigate and recommend remediation strategies for data quality conditions and process failures
Communicate test status to internal project teams and clients
Develop and contribute best practices and standards for solutions and medium/large-scale projects or accounts
Mentor a team of 2 to 3 QA Associates

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 6 years and maximum up to 10 years of experience
Bachelor’s or Master Degree or equivalent Degree or related IT field
Experience and knowledge in DWH and Database Testing
SQL and ETL testing knowledge
Ability to debug differences and document identified issues
Ability to understand requirements and translate them into test cases
Proficiency with SQL language and Data Warehousing principles
Knowledge of any ETL tool
Experience with cloud technologies; Azure preferred
Experience with JIRA and Agile
Good communication skills
Familiarity with cloud technologies
Working experience on JIRA and Agile
Experience testing SOAP/API projects
Stakeholder communication
Microsoft Office proficiency
Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate
Snowflake Associate/Core certification
