About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to APPs within the department
- Manage day-to-day clinical and administrative activities supporting the team
- Provide doctoral-level individual and/or group psychotherapy as assigned
- Conduct psychological assessments, including achievement, cognitive, and/or personality assessments
- Coordinate cases and provide case management
- Provide psychotherapy for individuals, groups, couples, and/or families
- Generate timely documentation of clinical psychological services and psychological assessment reports in the medical record
- Teach and supervise psychology practicum students, doctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows in collaboration with psychology training programs
- Collect information and provide input for annual performance reviews and corrective actions
- Direct regular multidisciplinary team meetings
- Monitor caseload distribution and effective management of active patients
- Assist in developing behavior management plans for patients
- Audit clinical documentation
- Develop and manage standards of work
- Align team members with Denver Health and departmental strategic initiatives

Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctorate Degree in psychology from an accredited school required
- 4–6 years of post-doctoral experience required
- PSY-Licensed Psychologist license from the State Board of Psychologist Examiners required
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Advanced knowledge and skills in psychodiagnostics and evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention
- Knowledge and experience conducting supervision with advanced psychology trainees and licensed psychologists
- Skills to participate effectively in a leadership role with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to teach other professionals and participate as a faculty member with psychology internship and training programs
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of effective psychological practice in medical settings
- Knowledge and ability to audit documentation for compliance with State, Federal, and Agency mandates
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide clinical care and basic administrative assistance
- Proficiency with computers and technology, including word processing and electronic medical records
- Ability to manage a high volume of email and other communication
