About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development of new business opportunities across Eastern Europe, focusing on defense, aerospace, UAVs, and government customers
  • Research regional markets, defense priorities, procurement programs, competitors, and potential partners
  • Assist senior Business Development colleagues throughout the commercial cycle, from opportunity identification to proposal and contract stages
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, government stakeholders, local partners, and other key regional players
  • Support preparation of proposals, tenders, presentations, commercial offers, and customer-facing materials
  • Track public tenders, procurement opportunities, defense programs, and regulatory developments
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, legal, finance, and operations teams on technical and business cases
  • Organize customer meetings, demonstrations, industry events, and trade shows
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, customer interaction, next-step, and commercial priority information
  • Travel across Eastern Europe as required to meet customers, partners, and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, International Relations, Economics, Engineering, Aerospace, Defense Studies, or a related field
  • Initial experience in business development, sales, consulting, defense, aerospace, government affairs, or a similar environment through employment, internships, or relevant projects
  • Strong interest in the defense and aerospace industries and motivation to develop a career in an international commercial role
  • Understanding of Eastern European markets and their business environment
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to turn market information into clear commercial insights
  • Confidence communicating with different stakeholders in an international environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Romanian or another Eastern European language is highly valued
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the region
  • Experience with government procurement, tenders, UAVs, aerospace, or defense technology is a plus but not essential
  • Ambitious, curious, and commercially minded
  • Comfortable taking ownership, learning quickly, and working in a fast-moving international environment
