About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts across procurement and sales.
- Negotiate and structure Joint Development Agreements with technical partners.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documentation.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, strategy, and external counsel on strategic projects.
- Improve legal processes, templates, and policy frameworks, including legal tech and automation tools.
- Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Support strategic transactions, corporate governance, international expansion, and cross-border legal matters.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years of post-qualification experience at a reputable international law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Strong experience in commercial law.
- A strong foundation in Dutch law, combined with an interest in comparative legal systems.
- In-house experience in an industrial startup, scale-up, or international environment is advantageous.
- Affinity with legal technology and process automation. Experience with contract lifecycle management tools is considered a plus.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
- Commercial, pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance business objectives and legal risks.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English.
