About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define identity and access across a multi-tenant healthcare platform
- Own the roadmap and requirements for authentication, including SSO, MFA, federated identity, session management, and secure user lifecycle
- Make multi-tenancy architecture decisions, including tenant provisioning/configuration, role-based access control, and organizational hierarchy modeling
- Define product requirements for entitlement models, usage tracking, and license enforcement
- Prioritize API gateway capabilities including rate limiting, routing, versioning, and access policies
- Partner with Security, Engineering, Compliance, and Commercial teams
- Translate platform reliability, security, and scalability needs into a prioritized backlog
- Make build-versus-buy and sequencing tradeoffs
- Balance security, compliance, and scale with frictionless experiences for users, administrators, and engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7-9 years of product management experience, with a meaningful portion in platform, infrastructure, or identity/access domains
- Direct experience with authentication/authorization systems, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, or API platform products
- Ability to read an API spec, participate in architecture discussions, and challenge engineering decisions credibly
- Track record of balancing security/compliance requirements against usability and delivery speed
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical tradeoffs for engineering and executive audiences
- Experience migrating a legacy system to multi-tenant SaaS with live customers
- Experience in healthcare technology, regulated industries, or enterprise B2B SaaS is a strong plus
- Experience with healthcare-grade security and privacy requirements, including HIPAA, SOC 2, and FedRAMP
