About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set technical direction and architect end-to-end AI/ML capabilities spanning multiple teams and products
Own the lifecycle from concept and experimental design through production deployment
Write reusable, production-quality code and reference implementations
Solve complex modeling problems using predictive models and generative AI, including LLMs
Improve model behavior through model selection, prompting, retrieval, feature engineering, fine-tuning, and retraining
Define evaluation and safety standards, metrics, benchmarks, monitoring, and responsible-AI practices
Shape technical strategy and roadmap while balancing performance, latency, cost, safety, and regulatory requirements
Improve training, serving, CI/CD pipelines, standards, patterns, and infrastructure
Partner with R&D, Commercial, Product, Legal, and Regulatory stakeholders
Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers
Communicate complex methods and results to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 8–12 years related experience, or Master’s degree and 5–7 years equivalent industry experience, or PhD and 2–4 years of experience
Deep, advanced expertise in AI/ML with strong computer science fundamentals
Extensive hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML libraries and frameworks
Track record of delivering AI/ML systems to production and operating them reliably at scale
Experience with evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and MLOps practices
Experience designing scalable, cloud-based AI/ML solutions
Experience working with large datasets in distributed environments
Strong software engineering and testing standards
Demonstrated technical leadership, influence, and mentoring experience
Responsible-AI mindset attentive to safety, reliability, and risk in regulated, high-stakes settings
Passion for AI/ML, emerging technologies, and health-sensing applications
Willingness to travel 5–15%
