About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take on complex finance operations analysis and decision-making
Dig into data and build tools and plans for the business
Work with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to develop defensible recommendations
Own ARR, net revenue retention, CAC payback, and payments revenue reporting
Produce the monthly investor update and maintain consistent metric definitions
Oversee the accounting function end to end, including determining the mix of AI, outsourced firms, part-time accountants, and in-house work
Lead annual audits and tax filings with external advisors
Maintain compliance across jurisdictions
Improve billing, collections, and reconciliation processes
Decide what finance work is automated, outsourced, or kept in-house
Keep finance documentation current
Serve as the primary Finance contact across the company
Support budget owners with budgets and spending
Communicate financial updates to non-finance teams
Manage auditors, tax advisors, banks, and outsourced partners
Advise management on budget allocation, commission and bonus structures, finance operations, and new processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in finance
Experience running finance operations for a SaaS company, ideally at Series A to C stage
CPA, CA, or equivalent designation, or deep accounting experience that lets you review a close and an audit file with confidence
Fluency in SaaS metrics, including ARR, retention, and unit economics reporting
Experience handling accounting and payroll across multiple countries and currencies for employees and contractors
Comfortable with Stripe, QuickBooks, HubSpot, and Google Sheets or Excel
Ability to work with BI tools to access data independently
Daily use of AI tools to analyze data, automate repetitive tasks, and speed up reporting
Comfortable making decisions where there is no clear right answer and following through independently
Ability to explain complex numbers simply, build trust with senior stakeholders, and push back constructively
Comfortable working hands-on to fix issues or provide interim support
Bonus: experience with payments or payment facilitation revenue
