About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support analytics, tracking, CMS, technical SEO, and general web implementation tasks across client websites
- Implement, test, and deploy tags, triggers, and variables in Google Tag Manager
- Configure and troubleshoot GA4 events, conversions, custom dimensions, reports, and dashboards
- Set up and validate conversion tracking for Google Ads and other advertising platforms
- Troubleshoot tracking, dataLayer, attribution, sequencing, timing, and marketing technology integration issues
- Write and maintain lightweight JavaScript and debug custom scripts
- Support privacy and consent implementations, including Consent Mode and CMP integrations
- Perform website QA, browser testing, technical troubleshooting, performance audits, and site-speed audits
- Implement and validate structured data/schema markup and assist with technical SEO tasks
- Update content and configuration in CMS platforms, including publishing blog posts and updating pages
- Assist with redirects, metadata, sitemap/indexation issues, and routine website maintenance
- Communicate findings and document completed work in internal workflows such as Asana and Slack
- Work independently on assigned tasks through implementation, QA, and documentation while collaborating with web development, analytics, and digital marketing teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4
- Strong understanding of GTM fundamentals, including tags, triggers, variables, dataLayer, and custom HTML implementations
- Experience configuring GA4 events, key events/conversions, custom dimensions, and reports
- Solid JavaScript knowledge, particularly for analytics, tracking, and lightweight website implementations
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Ability to debug technical issues using browser DevTools, including the console, network requests, cookies, and dataLayer
- Familiarity with Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, Microsoft Ads, and similar advertising and marketing platforms
- Experience working within CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, or similar systems
- General understanding of technical SEO concepts, including structured data, redirects, metadata, sitemaps, and indexation
- Familiarity with Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to implementation and QA
- Ability to work independently, manage asynchronous tasks, and learn unfamiliar platforms when necessary
- Ability to document technical work and communicate findings to technical and non-technical team members
- Nice-to-have: experience with HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, server-side Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, cookie compliance, Consent Mode, CMP platforms, JSON-LD, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, embedded forms, third-party scripts, hosting/deployment platforms, agency client websites, distributed teams, and asynchronous project management workflows
