About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the strategic business owner for an assigned portfolio of data center assets and development opportunities
- Maximize asset value, market performance, customer engagement, and long-term investment returns
- Develop and execute strategies driving revenue growth, customer retention, capital efficiency, and long-term asset value
- Bridge commercial and technical considerations involving power, cooling, connectivity, capacity planning, and data center operations
- Support master planning and long-term development strategy for new and existing data center campuses
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Sustainability, Legal, Engineering, Sales, Product, and other cross-functional teams
- Assist with budget development and management and align capital deployment with market strategy
- Evaluate customer requirements, infrastructure constraints, power availability, capacity utilization, and development opportunities
- Coordinate customer outreach before renewals, monitor customer satisfaction, and identify expansion and growth opportunities
- Provide market analysis to Acquisitions & Investments, Design & Construction, Sales, and Property Operations teams
- Represent the company as a primary market stakeholder
- Provide detailed financial reporting and forecasting and assist with special projects and complex analyses
- Set overall market strategy, formulate proposals, underwrite and negotiate leases, recommend acquisitions or dispositions, drive renewal and expansion opportunities, and oversee capital and inventory management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
- At least five (5) years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, investments, portfolio management, leasing, data center operations, sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical account management, capacity planning, or related disciplines
- Experience in data center, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, hyperscale development, critical facilities, or other mission-critical environments is preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate how power, cooling, connectivity, capacity planning, construction, and operational considerations impact customer decisions, investment strategy, and asset performance
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, local government personnel, stakeholders, brokers, and customers
- Goal-oriented mindset, strong sense of ownership, and ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work diligently in a fast-paced environment and produce quality work under strict time constraints
- Professional and articulate presence; comfort interacting with senior executives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts succinctly
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret raw market data and make strategic recommendations
- Ability to analyze financial statements, budgets, financial forecast models, legal documents, construction plans, and contracts
- Understanding of the financial impact of capital allocation decisions and ability to manage risk and maximize returns
- Experience evaluating operations and capital expenditures, financial forecasting, job cost accounting, project budgeting, long-term cash flows, variance analysis, and expense reconciliations
- Ability to acquire and apply knowledge of local laws and ordinances affecting real estate ownership, leasing, financing, and operation
- Proficient knowledge of all phases of construction and development
- Expected to work on-site at the Seattle, Washington location
- Occasional travel required
