About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the development and global adoption of the DigitalOcean narrative
- Transform complex product capabilities into a clear market point of view
- Hire, coach, and scale a world-class product marketing team
- Translate technical architectures, latency benchmarks, model quantization, and RAG efficiency into value propositions
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing on narrative-led product introductions
- Define launch objectives, go-to-market strategies, success metrics, and proof points
- Define positioning and competitive differentiation
- Create sales toolkits including pitch decks, playbooks, battlecards, and talk tracks
- Maintain real-time understanding of technical buyers and customer success
- Interface regularly with executives and cross-functional leaders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record of hiring, coaching, and leading high-performing teams
- Deep experience in product marketing for developer platforms or infrastructure
- Comfortable presenting to the C-suite and reviewing technical launch plans
- Comfortable using a terminal and an IDE
- Ability to spin up a containerized environment
- Daily use of AI to augment workflows
- Knowledge of model benchmarks and emerging agentic frameworks such as AutoGen, CrewAI, or LangGraph
- Ability to transform complex product capabilities into a sharp market point of view
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity
- Hands-on experience testing technical products and features
