About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute the sales plan for the assigned territory
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities with municipalities, regional county municipalities (RCMs), and public-sector organizations
  • Conduct demonstrations and executive presentations for public works, engineering, IT, and executive management teams
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through contract signing
  • Respond to calls for tenders, RFIs, and RFPs; prepare proposals and ROI analyses
  • Represent the company at municipal-industry conferences, trade shows, and events
  • Collaborate with technical, product, and implementation teams to ensure the success of sold projects
  • Keep the CRM, pipeline, and sales forecasts up to date
  • Monitor competitors and contribute to expansion strategies for entering new markets
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue, new sales, and retention targets
  • Generate new opportunities and build a strong network in the municipal market
  • Position the company as a strategic partner for municipal public works

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Experience selling SaaS software, technology solutions, or management systems
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience working with the municipal, government, or public works sectors is a significant asset
  • Knowledge of public procurement and tendering processes
  • Understanding of municipal management, asset management, or infrastructure, as well as SaaS business models
  • Proficiency with a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent) and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to present complex solutions in a simple and compelling manner
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation, and results-oriented approach
  • Consultative approach, active listening skills, and ability to build trust with senior decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills in managing opportunities
  • Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and intellectually curious
