About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead payer, access, and patient support program marketing initiatives and tactics
  • Scope, develop, and execute promotional payer marketing initiatives for managed care customers, including PBMs, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DOD, and IDNs
  • Develop and execute pull-through collateral to educate HCPs and office staff on access and reimbursement processes
  • Support development of the brand plan from an access perspective
  • Collaborate with patient services, field reimbursement, sales, and marketing to optimize patient and HCP access experiences
  • Manage agencies delivering tools and tactics on time and within budget
  • Coordinate and analyze coverage policies, patient support program data, patient/HCP feedback, market dynamics, and performance metrics
  • Lead Market Access training initiatives and embed access literacy across the company
  • Manage the Market Access budget process
  • Lead strategy and tactics for industry meetings and conventions
  • Ensure activities comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards
  • Report to the Vice President of Market Access

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, MPH, etc.)
  • 15+ years of progressive commercial experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, ideally in specialty or rare/orphan diseases
  • 5+ years of Market Access leadership experience
  • Rare/Orphan product launch experience required
  • Experience with HUB services, reimbursement, and specialty pharmacy essential
  • Strong understanding of commercial and government payer systems, including Medicare Part D and pharmacy benefit management
  • Track record of successful strategy development and execution in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams with a strong culture of accountability and trust
  • Exceptional communication and executive engagement skills, with experience influencing C-suite stakeholders internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support team and business objectives
