Lead software engineers in delivering business-critical applications
Establish technical direction and architectural standards
Drive AWS cloud adoption and modernization initiatives
Ensure solution scalability, performance, security, and reliability
Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development practices
Support incident resolution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Provide technical leadership and delivery ownership for a team building and operating scalable cloud-native applications on AWS
Drive architecture decisions, engineering best practices, and solution design across Spring Boot microservices, OpenSearch platforms, CI/CD, observability, and AWS infrastructure
Collaborate with product, architecture, and platform teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions
Mentor engineers, improve development processes, and ensure successful execution of business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years of experience, with 5+ years of experience in a lead role
Strong experience with Java (latest version preferred), Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS/Fargate, IAM, Application Load Balancer (ALB), RDS, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Docker, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, observability, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, event-driven architecture, and API integrations
Experience with performance optimization, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based applications
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices
Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and coach team members, build strong stakeholder relationships, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for project outcomes
Ability to effectively navigate conflict, adapt to changing priorities, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across teams
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive the successful delivery of complex, cloud-native solutions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
