About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the organization's containerization strategy.
  • Build enterprise-grade automation workflows using GitHub Actions.
  • Manage the Infrastructure as Code lifecycle to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive CI/CD automation, Kubernetes cluster management, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Design, build, and optimize GitHub Actions workflows for continuous integration and automated testing.
  • Build and maintain version-controlled custom GitHub Actions and reusable workflow templates.
  • Manage secure environment variables, contexts, and deployment keys using GitHub Secrets, Environments, AWS Secrets Manager, or HashiCorp Vault.
  • Implement OIDC authentication between GitHub Actions runners and AWS IAM.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain multi-cluster production AWS EKS and Kubernetes environments.
  • Execute zero-downtime cluster upgrades, patch releases, and node recycling.
  • Configure cluster and pod autoscaling using Karpenter, Cluster Autoscaler, HPA, and VPA.
  • Build, maintain, and version-control internal Helm charts.
  • Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Administer AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Route53, and RDS.
  • Write automation scripts using Python and Bash.
  • Implement and maintain GitOps deployment frameworks using ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Oversee Docker container builds, multi-stage layering, and AWS ECR registry vulnerability management.
  • Manage VPC CNI and ingress routing controllers such as ALB, NGINX, or Traefik.
  • Enforce AWS IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA) security guardrails.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • No degree required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in dedicated DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • 3+ years of heavy practical experience writing, testing, and modularizing complex GitHub Actions workflows.
  • 5+ years of hands-on, architecture-focused experience across major AWS services.
  • 3+ years of deep technical experience running production-grade workloads on Amazon EKS, including advanced troubleshooting.
  • Expert proficiency with Terraform and at least one scripting language (Python or Bash).
  • Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), CKAD, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
  • Experience managing scaling policies for enterprise-scale GitHub Actions self-hosted runners on Kubernetes, such as Actions Runner Controller (ARC).
