About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead design and delivery of process standardization and systems modernization across a domestic distribution network of 26 warehouses and 12 forward operating bases
  • Document current processes and informal site practices; design standardized receiving, put-away, cycle counting, staging, kitting, pick/pack, shipping, returns, and RMA processes
  • Establish master data foundations for WMS implementation, including item master cleanup, location and bin naming, unit-of-measure standardization, and on-hand balance accuracy
  • Deliver process improvements in D365 and existing tools, including structured receiving, location logic, scan-based transactions, and reporting
  • Lead WMS requirements definition, RFP development, vendor evaluation, selection recommendation, business case, and total cost of ownership modeling
  • Define D365 integration architecture with IT and Finance, including system of record, transaction posting, and reconciliation processes
  • Manage implementation partner performance against scope, schedule, and quality commitments
  • Plan and execute rollout including pilot selection, configuration, testing, cutover, training, hypercare, and sequencing of remaining locations
  • Partner with IT on EDI and API integrations with manufacturers and distributors for purchase orders, acknowledgments, ASNs, and invoices
  • Apply supplier ASN data to pre-populate receiving transactions and establish supplier data standards and onboarding
  • Integrate carrier tracking and automate material tracking from shipment through confirmed receipt, including exception alerting and three-way matching
  • Replace manual receiving confirmation with scan-based transactions updating inventory, project allocation, and financial records
  • Extend tracking to inter-site transfers and job-site material movement; develop self-service visibility tools for project management and field operations
  • Develop and deliver training, identify site superusers, report adoption progress and barriers, and measure process-change effectiveness
  • Lead post-implementation continuous improvement, supplier onboarding, EDI compliance, supply chain reporting, analytics, and automation opportunities
