About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct market discovery and develop expertise across the region to match facility capabilities and capacity with market needs
  • Map industrial customers and sub-verticals and understand market dynamics, competitors, partners, and price points
  • Maintain and execute a pipeline to identify, qualify, and win new business
  • Connect with key customer stakeholders, understand their needs, and create solutions leveraging Divert’s offerings
  • Advocate for the Voice of the Customer across the team and broader organization
  • Ensure a concierge-level experience through business development and onboarding
  • Transition customers successfully to Customer Success
  • Collaborate with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in business development, customer acquisition, and project execution
  • 2–4 years of experience in the energy, recycling, food & beverage, and/or transportation industries
  • Valid driver's license required for travel
  • Very strong communication skills with empathy for different audiences’ needs
  • Demonstrated success with data analysis in a commercial / business development context
  • Detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, and ability to work independently and as part of a larger, cross-functional team
  • Comfort with standard business tools, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must reside in California, Oregon, or Washington
  • Must be located near a major airport
  • Willingness to travel 25–50% annually
