About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop the Control Tower team through 1:1 meetings, feedback, and performance reviews
- Work strategically with the department head to define operational strategies
- Guide, monitor, train, and motivate the team to achieve targets and results
- Report departmental issues, solutions, ideas, projects, and results to the department head
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with other DMS leaders
- Monitor the company’s BI tools and contribute to process improvement and automation
- Create job descriptions for team positions and hire or terminate employees when necessary
- Ensure the execution of the client’s logistics activities, including order management, freight transportation, pickup, warehousing, customs clearance, and final delivery
- Maintain communication with leaders, suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and other partners
- Manage analyses of operational data and metrics to identify improvements and implement corrective actions
- Ensure on-time customer service at every stage and provide customized control and performance-monitoring tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification
- Intermediate to advanced English preferred
- Experience in people management preferred
- Experience in international trade and logistics, particularly customs clearance and shipment coordination
