About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Continually improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information to key stakeholders
- Along with Finance Business Partners, challenge forecast/budgets and explain key movements to FD
- Own production of accurate weekly sales reporting, with support from Finance Business Partners and Finance Shared Services teams as required
- Establish monthly customer profitability reporting and generate insight to share with key stakeholders
- Understand key drivers of weekly sales performance and explain material deviations from budget/forecast and potential future impacts
- Understand key drivers of month-end financial performance and explain material deviations from budget/forecast and potential future impacts
- Ensure internal/external weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports are complete, accurate and submitted by deadline
- Support Finance Business Partners with challenging operational performance to improve financial outcomes
- Support preparation of forecasts and budgets, reviewing and challenging input and assumptions
- Provide finance support, insight and challenge during new business and renewal tender processes
- Lead projects as required
- Deputise for the Finance Director FP&A as required
- Partner with Finance Business Partners, Sales and Commercial teams, Regional Operations teams and Executive Team to monitor performance and drive improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a professional Qualification in ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Minimum 5+ years post qualified experience
- Strong FP&A or Finance Business Partnering experience
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to manipulate complex data, generating actionable insight
- A track record of providing insightful reporting
- A proven record of driving commercial improvement
- Be commercially astute, with a proven record of driving financial performance with key stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills
- A proactive approach and a collaborative attitude
- Ability to build business relationships and interact with internal customers, with the ability to solve problems and show resilience
- Ability to work to tight deadline
- Fluent in English, oral & written
