About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join the Visitor Services Team as a Customer Service Centre Agent
- Respond to public customer queries by phone and email
- Educate customers and provide appropriate advice
- Liaise with the public effectively and efficiently
- Direct callers to the appropriate team across the Department of Conservation
- Forward messages regarding compliance work
- Direct callers to operations teams about potential strandings
- Assist customers with campsite bookings
- Work Monday to Friday, with standard hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to understand, educate, and respond to a variety of public queries by phone and email
- Quick learner
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to juggle competing demands
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with a wide range of people
- Great phone manner and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to think on your feet and prioritise a variety of tasks
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to report and summarise work
- Ability to manage conflicting queries and provide appropriate advice
- Ability to deliver messages efficiently with clear and concise communication
- Valid New Zealand work visa covering the duration of employment
- Previous call centre experience is advantageous
