About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define how the Forward Deployed Engineering team operates and establish internal playbooks
Determine the technical roadmap while navigating ambiguous customer challenges
Partner directly with strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows
Identify high-impact opportunities for agentic AI integration
Design, build, and deploy bespoke AI agents integrated with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub
Translate customer insights into scalable platform enhancements
Own the lifecycle from discovery and system architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and iterative optimization
Shape the founding FDE team culture, operational rituals, internal playbooks, technical roadmap, and cross-functional organizational design

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products
Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments
Strong customer-centric focus with confidence and communication skills to engage directly with enterprise stakeholders
Comfortable with undefined problems, high-stakes decisions with partial information, and complete ownership from zero to one
Proven ability to quickly build prototypes, experiment, and iterate based on real-world usage and customer feedback
Proficiency in frontend development with React and TypeScript
Proficiency in backend development with Next.js and TypeScript
Strong architectural background and experience with distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers
Experience with GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration tools
