About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with engineering teams to define SLIs/SLOs and build long-term reliability roadmaps for core services
  • Lead cross-service incident response during critical outages
  • Drive adoption of reliability patterns, deployment safety capabilities, and infrastructure scalability
  • Build and refine advanced observability tools to identify issues before production impact
  • Influence product design and system architecture to balance feature velocity and reliability
  • Mentor senior engineers and elevate engineering best practices
  • Help recruit talent for the SRE organization
  • Architect high-performing, resilient, and scalable platforms supporting AI-driven learning experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6–10 years of SRE, DevOps, or production engineering experience
  • Hands-on mastery of complex distributed systems
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
  • Experience with container orchestration and Infrastructure as Code
  • Ability to write clean, high-performing code in at least one major language
  • Proven experience leading large-scale incident management
  • Experience driving high-impact reliability programs
  • Ability to communicate across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or New Relic
  • Experience in a Kubernetes environment, including EKS
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Experience automating manual or repetitive production tasks
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of application without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Ability to commit to working in the office three days per week, Tuesday–Thursday
  • Openness to participating in an on-call rotation
