About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and prioritise the CMS and AI backlogs, ensuring work is transparent, appropriately sequenced and aligned with agreed product and business priorities
- Translate business objectives, stakeholder needs and product initiatives into clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
- Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning and ongoing prioritisation activities
- Define and validate acceptance criteria, ensuring completed work meets requirements, quality expectations and release readiness standards
- Balance immediate delivery needs with longer-term platform sustainability, including performance, reliability, security and maintainability requirements
- Identify and shape opportunities to leverage AI capabilities within the platform
- Communicate progress, priorities, risks and trade-offs to stakeholders using delivery metrics and evidence-based insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience owning and maintaining a product backlog within an Agile software delivery environment
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems and product objectives into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria and deliverable work packages
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams to prioritise work, clarify requirements and manage competing demands
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build alignment and manage expectations across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to use delivery and product metrics to inform prioritisation, decision-making and continuous improvement
- Practical understanding of software development practices and how architecture, operational concerns and technical constraints influence product decisions
- Experience working with content management systems, workflow platforms or configurable enterprise software solutions
- Experience defining or delivering AI-enabled product features, workflows or capabilities
- Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity, research, analysis and delivery outcomes
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar Agile delivery tooling
- Experience working within insurance, financial services or other regulated industries, with knowledge of complex business processes and compliance considerations
