About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support planning, coordination, and delivery of physician advocacy initiatives across British Columbia
- Provide project and administrative coordination for committees, working groups, and physician stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project documentation and tracking systems
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and supporting materials, capture minutes, monitor timelines and action items, and follow up with stakeholders
- Prepare presentations, summaries, reports, correspondence, and other communications
- Conduct research and track matters related to advocacy files
- Coordinate timely communication with physician members and internal partners
- Support development and delivery of internal and external communications with the Communications team
- Support physician Sections and Societies by maintaining membership information and coordinating governance documentation
- Respond to new applications and ongoing requests
- Facilitate information sharing and alignment across initiatives with internal teams, physician leaders, and external partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of progressive and related experience, or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education
- Ability to work synergistically in a team environment and coordinate tasks and priorities
- Experience in project management and balancing concurrent activities and projects
- Experience working in the BC health care system or general knowledge of it preferred
- Strong analytical, logical, evaluative, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Excellent diplomacy, communication, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to interact with highly trained professionals and diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience working in dynamic, challenging, and ambiguous environments
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Proficiency with PC-based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Budget development and management skills are an asset
- Knowledge of learning management systems and communication platforms is an asset
