About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own quality for an assigned product area end to end, including test strategy and release readiness
Design, build, and maintain automated end-to-end and UI tests in a modern browser automation framework
Plan and run structured manual and exploratory testing
Test REST APIs and service integrations, including contract, functional, and negative scenarios
Verify data-processing and workflow outcomes with SQL
Create, manage, and reset test data
Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and address flaky tests and coverage gaps
Design and execute performance and load tests, analyze results, and identify bottlenecks
Write precise defect reports and clear test documentation
Partner with engineering and product on requirements, risk, and testability
Share testing practices, review test code, and mentor others

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience
5+ years in QA, with ownership of quality for a product area
Experience testing web applications end to end with both automation and structured manual/exploratory testing
Proficiency in at least one automation language: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or equivalent
Experience with REST API testing and Postman or similar tools
Strong SQL, including joins across staging and production tables
Experience testing data-processing or workflow systems
Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD and maintaining reliability
Performance testing experience with JMeter, Gatling, or Locust, including load-profile design
Clear, precise written communication
Ability to be based in or near Kochi and work from the Kochi office as part of a hybrid schedule
