About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in the transition of the system currently developed and supported by an external partner, absorbing knowledge about the codebase, integrations, infrastructure, and business rules
Gradually take ownership of the platform’s support and evolution by fixing issues, implementing improvements, and developing new features
Develop solutions primarily with Node.js, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL, working across the full application stack
Work closely with operations to understand logistics workflows, WMS rules, and business needs, translating requirements into system solutions
Implement integrations and automations across different stages of operations, reducing manual activities and increasing efficiency
Investigate production issues and incidents, identify their root causes, and independently drive solutions
Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the system’s technical evolution as the operation and company grow
Provide occasional support for application environment and infrastructure-related matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in Full Stack development with Node.js and JavaScript, including maintaining and enhancing production applications
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, with confidence in working with queries, database structure, and data manipulation in application development
Experience with system integrations, APIs, and process automation
Ability to take ownership of an existing application and understand its architecture, dependencies, integrations, and business rules
Experience with systems supporting logistics operations, such as warehousing, inventory, material handling, distribution, or shipping
Ability to investigate issues end to end and drive solutions without relying on constant technical direction
Strong ability to work closely with operations and understand the processes behind the system, going beyond purely technical execution
Availability to work on-site once a week and occasionally support operational needs starting at 7:00 a.m., when necessary
Nice to have: Knowledge of WMS and its business rules
Nice to have: Knowledge of infrastructure and bare-metal server environments
Nice to have: Experience applying Artificial Intelligence to systems, products, or automations
