About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and enhance APIs, backend services, and integrations, primarily using C# and Python
- Participate in architectural decisions, building scalable, resilient, secure, and sustainable solutions
- Contribute to the evolution of a microservices architecture and serverless services on AWS, with extensive use of AWS Lambda
- Contribute to system modernization and the platform’s technical evolution
- Investigate and resolve performance, availability, scalability, and reliability challenges in critical systems
- Ensure engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, and sound development practices
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and business teams to translate business problems and needs into technical solutions
- Lead initiatives autonomously, overseeing solutions from technical design through production operations
- Share knowledge and contribute to the team’s technical growth through architecture discussions, code reviews, and pair programming
- Participate, when applicable, in building solutions that use Artificial Intelligence and LLMs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in backend development and software engineering, working with production systems
- Experience with C# and Python
- Experience building APIs, microservices, and system integrations
- Solid knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems
- Experience with AWS, preferably with serverless services such as AWS Lambda
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications
- Knowledge of automated testing and software quality practices
- Knowledge of observability, including logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using Terraform, Terragrunt, or similar tools
- Technical autonomy and the ability to understand business problems, make decisions, and lead end-to-end solutions
- Experience in banking, fintech, credit, or other regulated financial environments
- Experience with highly available systems and high transaction volumes
- Experience with messaging, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, application security, and DevSecOps practices
- Experience modernizing legacy systems
- Practical experience with generative AI and LLMs, including API-based integration
- Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, semantic search, vector databases, or frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and similar tools
