About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Systems team, responsible for supporting and evolving applications that are critical to operations
- Ensure the stability, availability, and continuity of systems by coordinating priorities, incidents, changes, and enhancements
- Structure and improve Change Management by assessing impacts, risks, and dependencies and ensuring greater predictability for operations
- Evolve the department’s processes and routines by identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, automation, and efficiency gains
- Manage systems vendors and third-party solutions, monitoring SLAs, delivery quality, incidents, releases, and enhancements
- Serve as the interface between Technology, vendors, and business units, aligning needs, priorities, and execution capacity
- Ensure that systems adequately support the regulatory and operational requirements of the banking environment
- Lead critical situations with a sense of urgency and an impact-oriented perspective, mobilizing the necessary teams and partners through resolution
- Monitor system risks, KPIs, and performance, anticipating issues and directing action plans
- Work closely with business leadership across different areas, contributing to decisions and initiatives involving the systems ecosystem
- Explore new technologies and automation opportunities, including the use of Artificial Intelligence, to make operations more efficient and scalable
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading Systems teams and supporting applications
- Strong experience in banking or financial environments, involving critical systems and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Change Management, including structuring, reviewing, or enhancing the process
- Practical knowledge of ITIL, particularly as applied to change, incident, problem, and configuration management
- Experience managing technology vendors, including monitoring SLAs, incidents, releases, and delivery quality
- Ability to act as an interface between Technology and the business, understanding operational impacts, risks, and priorities
- Experience improving and organizing application support processes, pursuing efficiency without sacrificing agility
- Leadership profile with a sense of urgency, autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to take ownership of issues through resolution
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher (a plus)
- Experience with credit, payroll-deductible lending, or other banking products (a plus)
- Participation in transformation, reorganization, or maturity-building initiatives for Systems departments (a plus)
- Experience with automation and the application of Artificial Intelligence in Technology processes (a plus)
