About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise product, business, and corporate development teams on antitrust and competition matters
- Advise on competition and antitrust dimensions of M&A transactions, strategic investments, and commercial partnerships
- Manage antitrust and competition regulatory investigations and inquiries globally
- Help build DoorDash’s international competition compliance program across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo
- Partner on training, policies, and processes
- Support competition-related litigation, including document collection and review, witness preparation, and responses to third-party subpoenas
- Partner with policy and government relations teams to track legal and regulatory developments
- Work globally across the DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo brands, with particular focus on Europe
- Report to the Director, Competition & Litigation
Requirements
What you’ll need- J.D. and qualification to practice law; bar admission required
- 7–9+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department
- Strong grounding in antitrust/competition law as a generalist, spanning M&A counseling, litigation, and regulatory/government investigations
- Experience advising on competition issues in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, including regulatory filings and clearance strategy
- Experience handling antitrust/competition regulatory inquiries or investigations
- Ability to work as a generalist across a broad portfolio
- Ability to translate complex antitrust concepts into clear, fast, actionable guidance
- Comfort working across multiple jurisdictions and legal systems
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Nice to have: prior in-house experience at a technology, marketplace, or platform company
- Nice to have: direct experience with the European Commission, UK CMA, or other non-US competition authorities
- Nice to have: additional language fluency relevant to European markets
- Nice to have: litigation experience, including depositions, trial preparation, or appellate work
