About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design custom products for fluid transfer equipment and layouts using technical knowledge
- Create advanced CAD designs for customer specifications and applicable engineering standards
- Support the manufacturing department
- Create detailed designs and layouts of fluid transfer systems to customer specifications
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs)
- Provide customer support on technical issues
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments
- Lead quoting for custom-designed equipment
- Train new hires on quoting
- Coordinate and delegate quoting work with outside engineering
- Obtain outside vendor quotes for use in custom designs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME/BSMET)
- Experience using Creo/ProE, Windchill and AutoCAD or comparable software
- Experience with piping design, pressure vessels or fluid transfer equipment
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and Boiler Pressure Vessel code
- Proficiency using Oracle
- Experience using product configuration software
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with limited standardization
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Experience with equipment design and layouts
- High level of customer focus
- Professional demeanor with customers and coworkers
- Compliance with Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook policies, and ISO Quality System Standards
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
