About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Dow’s Global Citizenship Thriving Communities strategy
- Partner with nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations across regions to drive positive outcomes in Dow communities
- Partner with global citizenship leads on regional and local charitable contribution portfolios
- Assess community needs and evaluate portfolio performance, trends, and regional priorities
- Recommend strategic investments, portfolio shifts, and opportunities for greater impact
- Support the global citizenship measurement framework and activities
- Lead Dow’s global volunteer strategy
- Empower employees and Employee Resource Groups to volunteer in ways advancing global citizenship strategy
- Oversee signature volunteer initiatives including MLK Day, Serve-a-thon, and Pulling our Weight
- Serve as lead and strategic advisor for the North America United Way Workplace Giving Campaign
- Partner with site Corporate Affairs and nonprofit partners on hiring, training, deployment, and oversight of Dow Volunteer Managers
- Manage the volunteer portal and tools
- Monitor and analyze volunteer trends through HR, OOI, survey results, external partners, and technology platforms
- Maintain governance, oversight, measurement requirements monitoring, and reporting for the inclusion-focused grant program administered by the Office of Inclusion
- Report to the Global Citizenship Leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5, Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, or Sergeant ranking
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
- Ability to work with a team located in the United States, Eastern Time Zone
- Potential for future travel to the U.S.
- For U.S. applicants, ability to work legally in the United States
- No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency process
- Broad knowledge of corporate responsibility trends and expectations
- Experience working on cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Prior experience in external-facing roles, community engagement, and volunteer efforts
- Ability to work with varied cultures, functions, and businesses
- Strategic mindset, strong initiative, and ability to influence across a diverse global team
- Analytical capabilities and proven ability to use data for strategic direction and tactical implementation
