Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise for fixed and rotating equipment across manufacturing facilities

  • Support inspections and ensure fabrication, construction, and maintenance activities meet engineering standards and specifications
  • Troubleshoot equipment and mechanical system failures and support root cause investigations
  • Apply Most Effective Technology (MET), work processes, and industry best practices to improve safety, reliability, and performance
  • Provide mechanical engineering support for equipment modifications, replacements, and capital projects
  • Lead mechanical discipline activities for small and medium projects and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
  • Support project planning, scope development, estimating, contractor package development, and change management
  • Promote safe design, value engineering, and cost-effective solutions that deliver long-term business value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical engineering, project engineering, or related industrial operations
  • Knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping, and other industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, inspection practices, and reliability improvement methods
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese and basic business English
