About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Mechanical Integrity inspection program for assigned process units
  • Ensure inspections are planned and performed correctly and meet applicable code, jurisdictional, and company requirements
  • Perform inspections and coordinate nondestructive evaluation examiners and inspection contractors
  • Review and manage inspections due for assigned units in compliance with GMIM, GMISS, and DOT IMP
  • Review and manage non-conformances for assigned units
  • Perform or oversee inspections
  • Maintain the SAP equipment inspection database and update inspection history in equipment files
  • Perform risk analysis and manage inspection plans
  • Participate in unit updates and planning meetings
  • Identify end-of-life items and recommend actions to the Plant Maintenance Engineer
  • Provide technical expertise on inspection frequency, type, and requirements to Plant, TICA, and TES teams
  • Provide day-to-day and occasional off-hour inspection support to the plant
  • Complete compliance requirements, including the compliance matrix and required training
  • Participate in unit shutdowns by supplying inspection and repair scopes
  • Support day-to-day unit maintenance by supplying inspection and repair scopes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Inspection/NDT role
  • Must have API 510 and API 570 certifications
  • Knowledge of ASME Codes and Standards
  • Working knowledge of advanced non-destructive testing techniques
  • Ability to work legally in the United States
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Stand 50% of the time
  • Walk for extended periods of time
  • Work at heights and climb stairs and ladders
  • Work in tight and closed-in spaces
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators
  • Work in intense or continuous noise
  • Work with hazardous materials
  • Must undergo DOT Pipeline Drug & Alcohol screening and recurring testing
  • Previous SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Word experience preferred
  • Non-Destructive Testing Level II UT preferred
  • Working knowledge of corrosion damage mechanisms, API 571, and basic metallurgy preferred
  • Working knowledge of welding processes and codes preferred
