About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new customer and application opportunities aligned with growth priorities
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects, new projects, and emerging market opportunities
  • Partner with Marketing to identify market trends, unmet customer needs, and strategic growth segments
  • Partner with Technical Service & Development to evaluate application feasibility, support product trials, and accelerate commercialization
  • Develop and execute market penetration strategies for new applications and customer accounts
  • Engage customer decision-makers and influencers to build relationships and uncover opportunities
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback
  • Lead opportunities from prospecting through qualification, value proposition development, proposal creation, and commercial launch
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams on new business development initiatives
  • Support forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning for growth projects and customer acquisition
  • Deliver growth targets through new customer wins, application development, and market expansion
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, customer technologies, and competitive offerings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5, Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, or Sergeant ranking
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to work legally in the United States
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available, including for any U.S. permanent residency process
  • Preferred degree discipline in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, market development, or application development
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Ability to collaborate across Marketing, Technical Service & Development, Product Management, and Supply Chain
  • Relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills
