About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide national vessel planning across DP World Australia’s major terminal operations
- Optimise vessel scheduling while maintaining stakeholder engagement and service standards
- Support effective vessel planning across the DP World network as a shipping line representative
- Identify planning and operational challenges and develop practical solutions
- Drive efficient vessel operations through accurate vessel planning and effective use of modern planning systems
- Act as the primary liaison between terminal operations and stowage planning teams
- Ensure accurate information flow and data sharing to achieve efficient vessel plans
- Develop partnerships with internal and external customers
- Maintain knowledge of trade dynamics, vessel limitations, and operational requirements
- Keep the operational knowledge database current and accurate for vessels and terminals serviced by DP World
Requirements
What you’ll need- Comprehensive understanding of vessel operations, including coordination, scheduling, and operational planning
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive, solutions focused approach
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to leverage digital applications to efficiently produce reports, memos, and other operational documentation
- Willingness to take ownership of role-related projects and drive them through to completion
