About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct sales activities related to incoming group inquiries for Drury Hotels’ guest rooms and meeting facilities
  • Respond to phone, electronic, and internal group leads
  • Increase company, market, and hotel revenue
  • Support Drury United and Hotel Operations in coordinating and servicing group bookings
  • Coordinate guest room and meeting room details and prospect group leads from third-party platforms
  • Build lasting relationships with new and existing clients
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, requests, lead sources, and guest issues
  • Participate in group booking procedures, weekly huddles, training, and department policies
  • Communicate with clients, sales teams, and hotel teams regarding proposals, contracts, agreements, group resumes, BEOs, rooming lists, billing statements, and follow-up documentation
  • Coordinate meeting plans including room blocks, meeting room functions, food and beverage, and audiovisual services
  • Conduct property tours and maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, rates, and client and hotel details
  • Monitor client experience through phone and email interactions
  • Inform management of guest comments, needs, and service opportunities
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers, Hotel General Managers, Revenue Strategy & Market Sales, Vertical Sales, National Call Center, Revenue Optimization, Legal, and Marketing
  • Follow safety and security policies and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in the hotel industry required
  • Sales and/or meeting planning experience required
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is advantageous
  • Outstanding verbal and written customer service skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Availability to support department hours: 7 AM–7 PM CST Monday–Friday and 9 AM–4 PM CST Saturday
