About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own customer relationships from prospecting through account growth
- Drive revenue for assigned Drury Hotels and identify opportunities across the Drury portfolio
- Generate demand and cultivate key business partnerships in the Omaha market
- Build market awareness and help establish the foundation for the future Drury Plaza Hotel Omaha Downtown
- Support the Drury Plaza Hotel Lincoln
- Generate revenue for the Drury Plaza Hotel Lincoln and future Drury Plaza Hotel Omaha Downtown before opening
- Conduct primarily in-market, relationship-focused sales
- Dedicate approximately 70% of working time to client-facing sales activities
- Manage revenue growth from assigned corporate and non-corporate accounts
- Develop new business
- Manage local B2B partnerships and sponsorships with guidance from the Manager, Revenue Strategy & Market Sales and collaboration with Regional Managers
- Maintain expert knowledge of market-area demand generators and accounts
- Explore opportunities across all 150 hotels in the company
- Travel outside the home city occasionally, not exceeding 10% of overall working time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of sales techniques and ability to advance customers through the sales cycle
- Excellent grammatically accurate written and verbal business communication skills
- Ability to present confidently to audiences of various sizes
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to build trust and revenue
- Effective time management, structure, self-discipline, and calendar planning
- Confidence using CRM, Microsoft 365, and industry research platforms
- Knowledge, skill, and intellectual development equivalent to completion of a four-year college degree
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in outside sales and account management with regional or national B2B accounts
- Previous hospitality or related-field experience preferred
