About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources, Training, Quality, Safety, Inventory, Operations, and potentially customer service
  • Support recruiting activities, including interview scheduling, background checks, job fairs, drug tests, and candidate contact
  • Provide customer service and support for internal and external customers regarding operational and HR-related processes
  • Coordinate new-hire orientation, prepare paperwork, create employee files, and support I-9 completion and compliance
  • Maintain personnel files for all employees
  • Audit, review, and process paperwork and forms
  • Generate, compile, and distribute reports
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs, and HR assessments
  • Provide clerical support including photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and answering telephones
  • Review, research, and enter data in various systems
  • Compile regular and ad hoc reports for management
  • Serve as frontline customer service by receiving, resolving, and escalating inquiries and issues
  • Assist management with monthly audits by retrieving data and files
  • Streamline processes and participate in work-improvement projects
  • Review, revise, and maintain standard operating procedures and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years of clerical experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
  • High interpersonal and communication skills for sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Attention to detail and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strong business and professional acumen
  • Results-oriented approach
  • High sense of urgency and customer service focus
  • Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources
  • Ability to analyze HR processes and make practical recommendations
