About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, coach and develop the Control Tower team
Organize the team’s daily workload and activities
Ensure high-quality and compliant handling of seafreight shipments
Monitor invoicing accuracy and data quality
Follow up on financial reports, volumes, performance and budget targets
Prepare for and participate in customer meetings
Handle customer escalations
Maintain daily contact with colleagues and stakeholders throughout the DSV network
Ensure customer-specific operating procedures are followed
Apply and monitor DSV Compliance requirements related to security, embargo countries, carriers and commodities
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, the DSV Code of Conduct, and Safety & Security requirements
Analyze operational results, identify improvement opportunities, and drive processes and strategies within the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Higher education degree in freight forwarding/logistics or equivalent level through relevant professional experience
Solid expertise in seafreight
Experience leading, coaching and developing employees
Customer-oriented mindset with a strong focus on results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to set the right priorities
Ability to remain effective under pressure
Confident communication with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
Good command of Dutch and English
Digital proficiency
Experience with MS Office and WMS systems; preferably CW1
Ability to work in an international environment and bring people together around a common goal
