About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build rapport and trust with clients by consistently delivering exceptional service
  • Process and input customer orders
  • Run and print shipments from WMS
  • Run stock reports to check product availability
  • Generate paperwork and information required for customer work orders
  • Check orders for special requests and expedite or trace orders as necessary
  • Notify customers about activity concerning their merchandise
  • Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are met
  • Verify customers and assure proper invoicing of accounts
  • Handle returned merchandise and assure proper customer credit
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoicing, shipments, inventory management, and customer dissatisfaction
  • Act as liaison between warehouse, office, and customers regarding accounts, invoicing, and credit changes
  • Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents
  • Maintain shipping and receiving data and records
  • Reconcile receiving counts with packing lists and purchase orders, and shipping counts with picking documents
  • Prepare customer service reports as required by supervisors
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Enter and verify customer orders, shipments, receipts, physical inventories, and adjustments
  • Oversee order paperwork and maintain corresponding files
  • Answer phones, operate office machines and computers, greet customers and visitors, and correspond with customers
  • Route calls, provide general information, direct visitors, and assist drivers at the check-in window
  • Cross-train in other administrative functions and work overtime as required by business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience in Customer Service-related capacity
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Spanish reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Business writing proficiency
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications
  • WMS functions
  • Intermediate mathematical skills for verifying product quantities and counting inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull 21–50 pounds
  • Ability to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel
