About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build rapport and trust with clients by delivering consistent, exceptional service
Process and input customer orders
Run and print shipments from WMS
Run stock reports to check product availability
Generate paperwork and information for customer work orders
Check orders for special requests
Expedite and trace orders and notify customers of merchandise activity
Follow up with departments to ensure service standards are met
Verify customers and assure proper account invoicing
Handle returned merchandise and ensure proper customer credit
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding work orders, invoicing, shipments, inventory management, and dissatisfaction
Liaise between the warehouse, office, and customers regarding accounts, invoicing, and credit changes
Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents
Maintain shipping and receiving data and records
Reconcile receiving and shipping counts with relevant documents
Prepare customer service reports and assist in resolving discrepancies
Enter and verify customer order, shipment, receipt, inventory, and adjustment data
Oversee order paperwork and maintain corresponding files
Answer phone calls, operate office machines and computers, greet visitors, and correspond with customers
Route calls, provide general information, direct visitors, and assist drivers at the check-in window
Cross-train in other administrative functions and work overtime as business requires

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1 year experience in Customer Service-related capacity
Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
Intermediate computer skills
Proficient with MS Office Applications
WMS functions
English reading, writing, and verbal skills
Business writing proficiency
Intermediate mathematical skills to verify product quantities, count inventory, and perform related duties
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
Ability to multi-task
Effective communication skills
Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
Ability to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel
Ability to walk and stand constantly, bend frequently, and handle/finger and sit occasionally
