About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build rapport and trust with clients by consistently delivering exceptional service
  • Process and input customer orders
  • Run and print shipments from the WMS
  • Run stock reports to check product availability
  • Generate paperwork and information required for customer work orders
  • Check orders for special requests and expedite orders as necessary
  • Trace orders and notify customers about merchandise activity
  • Follow up with departments to ensure service standards are met
  • Verify customers and ensure proper account invoicing
  • Handle returned merchandise and ensure proper customer credit
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoicing, shipments, and inventory management
  • Liaise between the warehouse and customers regarding account administration, invoicing, and credit changes
  • Ensure shipping and receiving documents are accurate
  • Maintain shipping and receiving data and records
  • Reconcile receiving counts with packing lists and purchase orders, and shipping counts with picking documents
  • Prepare customer service reports as required by supervisors
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Enter and verify customer orders, shipments, receipts, physical inventories, and adjustments
  • Oversee order paperwork and maintain corresponding files
  • Answer phones, operate office machines and computers, greet visitors, and correspond with customers
  • Route telephone calls, take messages, provide general information, and direct visitors
  • Assist drivers at the check-in window
  • Cross-train in other administrative functions as needed
  • Work mandatory or voluntary overtime according to business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service-related capacity
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate during warmer and colder months
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of WMS functions
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Business writing proficiency
  • Intermediate mathematical skills for verifying product quantities, counting inventory, and related duties
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to multitask
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
  • Ability to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of warehouse/logistics support experience
  • Preferred: 2–3 years of customer service-related experience
